Sea Turtle Migration Near The Chedi Muscat: Did you know that thousands of sea turtles migrate annually from the shores of the Arabian Gulf, the Red Sea and Somalia to lay their eggs on the Sultanate’s shores? Or that Oman is home to four of the world’s seven species of sea turtles: the endangered Green Turtle, Olive Ridley Turtle, Loggerhead Turtle, and the critically endangered Hawksbill Turtle? Approximately 20,000 turtles lay an estimated 50,000 – 60,000 eggs each year in the Sultanate! The best time to witness this beautiful phenomenon is from July until October.
