Stories from JG: Our 2015 Travel Bucket List

Holiday travel is over, and we at JG Black Book have started to plan for a new year of new journeys and new memories. It’s time to check some destinations off of our Bucket List and create experiences that are sure to change our lives. It may seem that the JGers have traveled far and wide but there’s always going to be a place that they want to experience and let’s hope this year is their year! Here’s to another year of travel and abundant life-changing experiences. Here’s where some of us at JG Black Book hope to travel to this year:

Bali, Indonesia – The Chedi Sakala

We’ve been to Asia before but we had always wanted to visit a more tranquil island destination in the continent and Bali is absolutely perfect. Me and my wife would love to celebrate our 1-year anniversary there and really soak up some sun and culture. The Chedi Sakala Bali is perfect because it’s right on the water, has renowned dining offerings, and we can explore with the help of expert concierge. ” – Andy Martell

Paris, France – onefinestay

I’ve been wanting to travel to the city of lights for quite some time now and I’m hoping this year is the year. I’ve always thought the city was so romantic and iconic, and with the current events that have been happening, I’d love to visit and share in solidarity, my own hopes of peace in the world. I recently visited a home here in New York managed by onefinestay, and if their Paris homes are anything like this one, I certainly wouldn’t mind living like a local in my chic Parisian ‘pied de terre’.” – Kelly Berry

Myanmar – Eastern Safaris

Ok, so it’s always been a dream of mine to ride in a hot-air balloon and hopefully I’ll get to do it this year! One of our newest clients, Balloons of Bagan, part of Eastern Safaris, lets travelers soar above Myanmar and supposedly has the most amazing views! I’ve also never been to that part of the world and would really love to experience the monasteries and culture.” – Alexandra Spang

Muscat, Oman – The Chedi Muscat

There is something so majestic, so elegant about The Chedi Muscat that I can’t put my finger on. Visiting the Middle East has always been a dream of mine, because I’m so interested in the culture, religion, and especially the food. With so many cultural influences on the culinary, it would be a treat for any foodie. Also, with breathtaking view of the Gulf of Oman, it’s like a hidden oasis that I hope not many people catch onto. I want it all for myself! 🙂” – Jide Iruka

Italy – Regina Hotel Baglioni & Italy’s Best

I would love to experience Rome for the second time, but with our boys. There’s nothing like having the entire family experience such a vibrant culture and I know Regina Hotel and Italy’s Best will create an amazing experience for us. I’m pretty sure the boys will love watching soccer, and eating pasta for days and I know I’d love to visit a few museums and see if I can get my hands on a beautiful leather purse. A girl can dream!” – Cathy Courtney
