Le Quartier Français is a member of the Leeu Collection, which also includes Leeu House and Leeu Estates.


Ranging from spacious individually designed guest rooms to even roomier suites, the 21 accommodations of Le Quartier Français are awash in local artwork, fine fabrics and every imaginable amenity. Depending on the suite chosen, guests may have a private courtyard, a walk-in dressing room, a corner garden and their own swimming pool. The Pool and House Suites are designed specifically with kids in mind, complete with a loft-style sleeping area for children. Guest rooms are equally divine, with big comfy chairs for sinking into with a good read, and a complimentary Nespresso machine.


Guests lift not a finger at Le Quartier Français, where each detail of the experience is attuned to the goal of utter relaxation. Breakfast each morning, snacks and Nespresso coffee, WiFi access, transfers into Franschhoek – it’s all included in the stay. Rooms are adorned with a flat-screen TV, underfloor heating, Egyptian cotton linens, luxurious bath amenities and handmade soaps and wood-burning fireplaces. A DVD/CD library and selection of books and magazines are available to all guests.


From shopping to spa treatments to savoring the region’s many fine wines on customized wine-tasting excursions, guests are spoiled to their heart’s content at Le Quartier Français. Visits are easily arranged to the new sister property Leeu Estates, opening Q1 2016, which will offer fine wine and dining at the Dining Room, as well as beautiful nature trails to explore and Amala, an Asian holistic wellness sanctuary and spa. Guests are also invited to tour Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines and the Tuk Tuk Microbrewery. Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines will open in Spring 2016 and the Tuk Tuk Microbrewery will open Q1 2016.


La Petite Colombe restaurant whisks guests away on an exciting culinary journey and is famous for its eight-course, contemporary, African-inspired tasting menu. Palates are surprised and delighted during the three-and-a-half-hour gastronomic journey. In addition, in La Petite Colombe, guests can enjoy the small plates menu – drawing on South African Ingredients such as sour figs, buchu and nettles (favorite tapas include Prawn Popcorn and Mama’s Meatballs) as well as the popular breakfast buffet.
