With interiors by Cécile & Boyd’s, the home blends European country house design with an exotic African flair, creating a comfortable and stylish haven.
At Singita Serengeti House, all requests are handled by on-site experts, including house host, safari guide, chef and dedicated housekeeping staff. Meals are prepared in the home’s kitchen by the resident chef, and activities are planned and coordinated based on individual interests. A private vehicle will be at your disposal for game drives or other excursions. There’s a tennis court and 25-meter lap pool, plus mountain biking and spa treatments are available.
Singita Serengeti House offers uninterrupted views of the plains and many opportunities for wildlife viewing. There’s a waterhole outside the home that attracts elephants as well as plains game. Private game drives into the Singita Grumeti Reserves (at your discretion and schedule) provide opportunities to see lions, zebras, cheetahs, leopards, jackals and monkeys, to name a few. Guests may also enjoy cooking classes with a personal chef, mountain biking, horseback safaris, guided walks or relaxation time by the pool.
Throughout your stay, you will enjoy the services of a private chef who will discuss your food preferences and prepare all meals. This skilled master will dazzle your palate with made-to-order creations using locally sourced and healthy ingredients, served family style on your schedule. Savor everything from fresh lobster barbecue to gourmet picnic lunches to homemade banana bread. And the resident chef encourages guests to come into the kitchen and join in the food-prep fun. All beverages are included (excluding connoisseur wines and French Champagne).
Singita Grumeti plays an active role in conserving wildlife in the region. Environmental education is a necessity to help Tanzania address the effects of climate change and the destruction of biodiversity. The Environmental Education Centre was opened to educate school children on the benefits of preserving wildlife and the natural environment. Singita Grumeti has also created programs to support the local community, establishing a number of sustainable agricultural projects. In addition, the Grumeti Fund Scholarship provides educational opportunities to disadvantaged individuals in neighboring communities.
