The Legian Bali Specialist
Vice President, Industry Relations
This all-suite Indonesian hideaway is situated among an impeccable garden along one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world — and near Bali’s famous shopping and nightlife. Featuring 67 tastefully designed suites and a three-bedroom beachfront villa with every room offering ocean views and spacious balconies. The Legian, which is part of the Leading Hotels of the World offers a luxury boutique hotel experience and the highest standards of the legendary Balinese hospitality service.
The all-suite accommodations reflect the Balinese aesthetic of living in harmony with nature. Expansive balconies all over viewing the ocean, rich merbau wood floors, soft-hued fabrics and handcrafted art pieces create an elegantly tropical ambiance. Modern touches include large soaking tubs and separate showers, state-of-the-art entertainment systems and complimentary WiFi. There are studios and one-and two-bedroom suites, as well as three specialty suites that come with personal butlers and chauffeured private car service upon request. The very private three-bedroom Beach House features a magnificent pool and direct access to the beach comes with two dedicated butlers and a personal chef on call.
Adjacent to The Legian, The Club at The Legian Bali features 14 private villas in a separate compound. Guests enjoy every amenity imaginable, from private car services to The Club’s private lounge and 28-meter lap pool as well as personal butler service, unlimited laundry service and minibar including a selection of spirits.
A warm Balinese welcome awaits travelers at The Legian, where a 24-hour concierge attends to guests’ every request. The three-tiered infinity pool, which flows down to the beach, is a favorite place to lounge. The newly renovated spa offers a menu of signature experiences derived from ancient Indonesian curative techniques, as well as a health club and manicure and pedicure lounge. Morning yoga classes are also available four days per week. For private events, The Beach House is a spectacular venue that accommodates up to 60 people dining or 80 people cocktail-style.
With the refreshing Indian Ocean just steps away, water sports are a preferred pastime. Grab a boogie board and hit the waves. Cycle through traditional Balinese villages or hop on a horse and gallop along the beach at sunset or explore lush rice terraces. Excursions to area sights, including Uluwatu and Tanah Lot temples, Goa Gajah elephant cave and Mount Batur volcano, can be arranged by the concierge.
Contemporary European and Asian cuisine is on the menu at The Restaurant that opens onto a sweeping terrace overlooking the ocean. Breakfast is also served in this delightful setting. For lunch and afternoon snacks, as well as pre-and post-dinner cocktails, The Lobby Lounge, Pool or Ocean Bars are great places to relax or witness the brilliant sunsets – the perfect vantage points to watch day turn into night.
In the spirit of community and driven by a desire to make a difference, the staff of The Legian created Team 8, a social committee that raises money and organizes charity projects. The group has already provided water access to the school and surrounding community, stationery supplies, uniforms and sandals to children and scholarships to secondary school students, and plans to make other improvements including increasing the scholarship program to incorporate more students and guarantee continuing education.
